Excellent small cottage in the heart of Seahouses. My husband, two teenage children, dog and myself had a great time. Wine and biscuits on arrival a great touch and loved the log burner. Would highly recommend.

Stayed for my boyfriends birthday, had read the reviews and looked at pictures but it still was way nicer than I expected. Absolutely loved it and in a perfect location. The added touches such as milk, rock and wine really made a difference:-) thank you...More

Old Salt Cottage has been beautifully and tastefully decorated and furnished. Spotlessly clean, clear instructions left on how to operate the heating etc. Ideal location, minutes from shops and restaurants yet peaceful. Very welcome “pack” on arrival including milk, teabags, biscuits, wine and even dog...More

About the neighbourhood
Seahouses is a small village on the picturesque Northumberland coast. It has a lively harbour which acts as the gateway to the Farne Islands, with regular boat trips taking bird watchers and nature lovers to this haven for puffins, seals and other wildlife. Beach walks abound in the Seahouses area, with golden sands stretching north to Bamburgh and south to Beadnell and beyond. Seahouses itself provides excellent facilities, with a selection of restaurants and traditional pubs to keep you fed and watered, and shops where you can buy whatever you need – whether it’s a kite and a picnic for the beach, gifts and sweets to take home, or fire logs and wine for a cosy evening in the cottage.
Getting around
A local bus route connects the coastal villages to the north and south of Seahouses, although we would recommend bringing a car if you wish to fully explore the beautiful coastline of Northumberland.
