With stunning panoramic views across rural Northumberland to the sea, the raised deck at the Bothy is the perfect spot for a relaxing sundowner after a busy day exploring this beautiful area. The Bothy is a recent conversion of the East Wing of a country house, originally a Reiver farm dating from the 17th century. Designed by the owners to provide a very comfortable and spacious home for up to 2 guests, the Bothy is contemporary, stylish and very private - the perfect getaway for a relaxing holiday or short break. Within 15 minutes' drive: historic Berwick-upon-Tweed, miles of unspoilt sandy beach, the causeway to Holy Island, the Cheviot Hills and the river Tweed. Pub and village shop in Lowick (3 miles) with main shopping in Berwick-upon-Tweed (7 miles). The Bothy sleeps 2 in one delightful bedroom with quality superking double (can be twin) and adjacent shower room. The large open plan living room has very comfortable seating, a wood-burning stove, 47' Freeview television, dining table and beautiful well-equipped kitchen. A few steps lead up to the garden room which opens onto a large deck with seating/dining space. Private off road parking, lockable shed for bikes or sports equipment. Quality bed linen and towels are provided. Ample central heating and hot water by our eco-friendly biomass boiler. Logs provided for the stove. Electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, television, DVD player, CD player/radio with Bluetooth, free W-Fi, charcoal BBQ, picnic rug and picnic set/cool bag. Good mobile signal. Dogs are welcome in the house (but not the bedroom) and can be walked direct from the Bothy through farmland, or enjoy a run on the beach after a 5 minute car trip. We can provide exclusive use of an adjacent comfortable double kennel if you want to go and play golf or go out in the evening. Please note that the courtyard is the owner's private garden and the grass area round the Bothy is not enclosed. In our description of the area we have given a flavour of what is on offer but we recommend any potential visitors look at the North Northumberland Tourism website for inspiration for your visit. We have recently had a week in the beautifully equipped place. The Bothy is very spacious for 2 people, really clean, warm and comfortable, with wonderful views from the garden room. Easy access to the A1, Bamburghand the castle, Berwick upon Tweed, and Holy Island.
