Made an ideal family-friendly base to tour the local countryside. The house and setting are a haven from the busy world. Owner was very helpful during the booking process and visit. Will certainly visit again!

Large ceramic tiled centrally placed entrance hall leading from solid gothic front door,gives onto the beautiful sitting room with comfortable seating,bookcase,antique furniture,chess set and old pictures.Two windows with extensive views over the garden,and open working coal or wood fire. Fuel provided.Oppposite this room is a wooden- floored dining room with large walnut dining table and ten chairs There are.antique desks and an open fireplace.There is internet access in this room.The playroom has very comfortable seating, lovely paintings and attractive decor,televison,dvd and video player,books and games.The large kitchen with oil fired aga seats 10 and has a dishwasher, antique dresser, plentiful modern crockery and an exetnsive range of cooking implememts including a Kenwood chef. There is a fridge freezer,toaster and microwave.The view from the large sash kitchen window is over the herb filled stone courtyard and across the meadow towards the Cotswold hills.The kitchen leads to a large stone- floored cloakroom where the soft blue swimming towels are kept and coats can be hung or boots left.There is a utility room with washing machine,drier,iron, and ironing board. This leads to the back staircase;there is also another main staircase leading from the front hall,past a wonderful stained glass window with views to the River Severn and the Cotswolds escapment.House martins nest in the eaves above.There are five large luxuriously equipped bedroom;,all bedding,linen and lightling is new,but the furniture is antique.Each bedroom has matching throws,silk cushions and curtains.There are three double bedrooms and two twin rooms all with magnificent garden views,'one twin room is delightful decorated with a seaside motif with pictures of boats and a bright navy wall with an antique moroccan mirror.This ,with its view of the church through the gothic window,would be a favoutie with children.Each rooms with their individual accents of grey,blue,sage green.pink-mauve or navy have been carefully restored for maximum impact and comfort.The new large family bathroom has a big shower,a large bath, toilet and basin,serving two rooms.One double room has an ensuite and there is a large newly installed shower rooom with toilet and basin serving the remaining two rooms.Int the morning the only sounds are birdsong. In the freshly painted garage is the large table tennis table with bats and balls and a table football.
