Quaint, cosy 17th century cottage located in Battle, East Sussex. Close to Hastings seaside resort, Little Orchard is located within 5 minutes walk to Battle High Street or it is a 2 minute drive. It is nestled in the heart of the 1066 countryside of the historic Battle of Hastings. The historic Battle Abbey welcomes all visitors and English Heritage members. Battle Town has brilliant shops, pubs and restaurants and is also great for walking holidays. Little Orchard can sleep up to 4 people, 2 in the bedroom and 2 in the lounge on a small 2 seater sprung sofa bed.

We had a great time . The cottage is very beautiful and the garden is great! In the evening it is very cousy. We will be back !

A pretty cosy cottage not far from Battle High Street. The cottage was warm which was lovely as the weather was not, beautifully appointed, great attention to detail. We easily found somewhere to park. Lots of different shops and cafes very nearby and the beautiful...More

We stayed at the Little Orchard with our 3 &7 year old. It was a cosy little cottage and met all our needs. There was lots of technology, wii, dvd , sky, bose speakers to keep us entertained during the stay. The location is easy...More

About the neighbourhood
The attractive town of Battle gets its name from the battle of Hastings 1066, The Battle Abbey built between 1070 and 1094.
Today the ruins and the battlefield are attended and cared for by English Heritage, which welcomes the young and old.

The Towns awash with Georgian buildings along its high street. the cottages dotted around the abbey date from 1700. The parish church of St Mary was built in Norman times and for the most is 12th century.

The Town offers a diverse mix of attractions, galleries and local shops and restaurants and pubs with plenty to choose from.
