Overview
Cottage -
2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 3
Snettisham, Norfolk, East Anglia, England
Traditional vintage-style cottage with a secluded flower-filled garden and views over the cricket pitch and the medieval church of St Mary in the village of Snettisham, Norfolk. The cottage is best suited to those seeking a rural retreat as there is no TV or wifi but a cupboard full of books, a retro-style Roberts radio and a portable DVD player are provided. The decor is deliberately nostalgic with old-fashioned furniture, an open fire and an original roll top bath. Teas, coffees, breakfast cereals and coal and logs for the fires are included in the price.

The local pub, which won the UK Pub of the Year Award in 2015, is just on the other side of the playing field from the cottage and the RSPB reserve is located on nearby Snettisham beach. The village is a few miles from the beautiful north Norfolk coast and not far from the Sandringham...

This is our fourth visit to this lovely cottage in Snettisham. We really love it - the fires, old fashioned feel, the nearby beach (which is great for walking our dog) and the village itself. Always well looked after. We’ll be back for visit number five soon!

Traditionally, I had stuck to Blakeney, Wells - the usual places when visiting Norfolk but Snettisham is a beautiful village and this cottage's location, across the village green from an excellent pub, couldn't have been better. I liked that the 'vintage' qualities of the cottage weren't limited to decor; it was more relaxing to be away from TV and computers....

The cottage is a convenient base for exploring North Norfolk, located in an attractive, quiet village. The previously much mentioned stairs are not an issue if you are generally fit and able. However, for the sake of clarity, it would be helpful if publicity information for the cottage stated more explicitly that toilet and bathroom facilities are downstairs. The cooking...
