Come and unwind at Phinlain cottage in the South Lakes. We provide a relaxing and comfortable home from home for up to four people. For younger visitors, there is a playground to the side of the property. On rainy days, try the cinema 15 minutes away in Barrow.

Phinlain cottage makes an ideal base for exploring the Lake District from the south, with Coniston water and Lake Winderemere only 9 miles away. The rest of the fells, lakes and lakeland towns such as Windermere, Ambleside, Hawkshead, Grassmere lie to the north.

Phinlain cottage is located just two miles from the cobbled streets of the historic market town of Ulverston, which still holds bi-weekly markets on Thursday and Saturday. For the more adventurous there is a livestock market on Tuesdays.

A lovely cottage, very comfortable, nicely furnished and equipped in a great area for exploring the southern part of the Lake District. The only problem was a very messy fridge when we arrived but the rest of the property was spotless so I assume this...More

The nearest town is the market town of Ulverston, about 3 miles away by road, but just over 2 miles on foot along mostly quiet roads. A really lovely town with lots to do, lots of places to eat and its market is great.
