The accommodation is a converted Coach House having a homely feel with lots of exposed beams. Alterations were completed in the year 2000. Good storage space with lots of space for outdoor gear, boots, etc. It is double-glazed, fully carpeted (except for the kitchen which has an original slate floor) and tastefully decorated. Outside, there is a patio and garden area in which to sit and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Parking for one car is provided adjacent to the Coach House.

Briefly comprising: entrance leading into the lounge (large, with French windows overlooking the garden area, living flame electric fire set in an original slate fireplace, TV, SKY (Freeview) & DVD). Very comfortable and well appointed accommodation. Great location with the "Ratty" railway only a 10 minute walk away and the local pub that serves decent pub food only a 20 minute walk away. Set in possibly the most dramatic and beautiful valley in the lake...More

Guests staying for 2 weeks continuously can get a £40 discount if they choose, on the basis that no cleaning will be done after the first weeks holiday. Dogs are charged extra at £15/week or £10/short break.

Leave junction 36 of the M6 motorway and head for Kendal/Lakes. Follow Barrow signs (A590). Three miles beyond Newby Bridge turn right (signed to Workington). After 10 miles you will reach Broughton-in-Furness. 3/4 of a mile beyond, turn right to Ulpha - just before the traffic lights that control traffic over the river Duddon Bridge. After 4 miles, turn left in Ulpha village, up the steep hill signed for Eskdale (Birker fell road). Follow this road for 7 miles and you will enter Eskdale Green village. Just past the village store on the right, turn left down a private lane called 'Randlehow'. The Orchards is 250 yards on the left.
