A cosy terraced cottage 4 miles from Ennerdale, with private residents' access onto the Whitehaven to Ennerdale cycle path. Ideal for walking with children or dogs as no motorised vehicles are permitted.
We actively welcome children and can provide a cot, high chair, baby bath, potty and toddler step at no extra cost. You will even find toddler crockery and cutlery in the kitchen, and an integral toddler toilet seat in the bathroom! Do not despair if it is raining, as the Welsh dresser in the sitting room houses a selection of children's games, jigsaws and paper & pencils. We also welcome up to 2 dogs at a surcharge of £15 per dog, per stay.

We stayed as 3 adults, toddler and dog during cold February. The house was warm and cosy and had lots of little extras to help you feel at home such as colouring equipment jigsaws duplo and children's crockery as well as toiletries and tissues. The...More

The Georgian coastal town of Whitehaven is 15 mins drive away, has plenty to offer children and adults alike. The nearest supermarkets can also be found here! Slightly further south us the seaside village of St Bees, famous for its beach, golf course, nature reserve, and as the start of the famous coast-to-coast walk. Ennerdale Bridge is 4 miles away, with Ennerdale Water just beyond. It is possible to walk around the perimeter of the lake and part of the way is suitable for wheelchairs / buggies. Within 20-30 mins drive is Buttermere Valley with its three lakes; Buttermere, Crummock and Loweswater. Half an hour's drive will see you in the market town of Cockermouth where you can visit Wordsworth House, the childhood home of William and Dorothy Wordsworth, or take a tour around the fam... more
