The apartment we call 'Casa Kennedy' is a self contained section of the ground floor of our 5 year old home. The 3 apartment doors are private and separate from access to the rest of the house.

Casa Kennedy consists of a bedroom with a queen size bed and wardrobe, a living area with a pull-out sofa bed, TV and bookshelf; a kitchen with a table and 4 chairs, a small fridge, microwave, induction hotplate, toaster, electric jug, dishwasher and sink. Crockery, cutlery and cooking appliances that would cater for up to 4 people are also available.
The apartment is designed for 2 people to share but it can sleep up to 4 using the sofa bed in the living area so small families could be accommodated.

We had a great time staying here during our last visit to Adelaide. The residence is across the road from the beach & there is a lovely walking / riding track along the shore. There is also a river nearby to enjoy. You stay on the ground floor level of this double story, modern home which is only 5 years old. The facilities include: a lounge, (which is a sofa bed), kitchenette & dining room; bedroom with a double bed and large built-in wardrobe; separate bath tub and shower, as well as a separate toilet. You have the beach view from the lounge / dining room and the bedroom. A generous breakfast is provided which includes, fresh fruit, cereal, bread, juice, yogurt, skim and full cream milk, as well as a good selection of teas & coffees, plus some cookies in case you'd like something sweet with a hot beverage later. Your every need is thought of.....plenty of towels, linen, blankets, shampoo, conditioner etc., plus books and DVDs for adults and children. Information on local...

About the neighbourhood
Our house is on the Esplanade at Port Noarlunga South, 50 minutes south of Adelaide by train. We overlook the stunning Southport Beach and the estuary of the Onkaparinga River. We are a 15 minute drive from the McLaren Vale Wine region in the Fleurieu Penninsula.
The area has a relaxed holiday feel to it with historic townships to explore by foot or by using the many bike paths.
Water activities to enjoy using the river or the ocean include swimming and boarding- surfing and stand-up paddling; kayaking, fishing and snorkelling or snuba to explore the reef off of the Port Noarlunga jetty.
Getting around
Access to a car helps you to explore the region more extensively and car rental locally is a viable option. The McLaren Vale wine region is a short 15 minute drive away and day trips could be made north to the Barossa Valley wine region (90 mins) or south to Victor Harbor and Goolwa (45 mins). Glenelg is also a 30 minute drive north.
If you don't have a car, public transport is accessed with a 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop to get you to the train stations or to the nearby major shopping centres of Noarlunga, Marion and Seaford.
The local area can be explored easily by walking to the historic township of Port Noarlunga (15 mins.)and to the beach (2 mins.) Push bikes are a great way to explore the local area more extensively.

Railway: Noarlunga Centre Interchange or Seaford station: 4.5 km
If you are arriving by aeroplane and do not have a car we may be able to pick you up from the airport for a small fee.
At the airport, if you have a car, turn left from the airport access road onto Sir Donald Bradman Drive, then left onto Tapleys Hill Drive , travel south on this road, and about 35 minutes later after crossing over the Onkaparinga River, at the first roundabout, turn right following the river and then at the next roundabout our house can be seen about 500m in front of you.
If you are using public transport, catch the J1 bus going into Adelaide city and get off close to the railway station. From the station catch the Seaford line train to Seaford (the last stop) and we will pick you up from there.
