Easy to find, spotlessly clean, seriously comfy. The Porthole is incredibly well appointed and gorgeous! About the neighbourhood
Croyde is a large village following the curve of its wonderful sandy bay, one of Britais finest surfing beaches. It boasts a popular Thatched pub, several beach and surf related shops, good restaurants, 2 indoor heated leisure pools one of which is literally at the end of the road you will stay on. This also has a Gym, Jacussi and Sauna perfect for relaxing. There are lakes renown for wildlife, rock pools, and tea shops for the all important cream tea. You can hire a horse in Croyde and ride it through the surf for miles. The highly regarded golf course at Saunton is a 5 minute drive and you can pick up the coastal path 800m down the road. From the M5 exit at Junction27 sign for North Devon/Barnstaple 3rd exit A361. At Barnstaple take signs to Ilfracombe. At Braunton turn left towards Croyde. This is the nearest petrol station and supermarket to Croyde. Once you go past the Croyde sign Ora Stone Park is the 2nd road on your right just past the first central island. The Porthole is right at the top of the cul-d-sac on your right. Park on the drive or the gravel directly outside avoiding the lane which has right of way for the summer residence further along the lane. The key safe is by the front door.
