Campement Silinka (meaning 'sunrise' in Mandinka) is set within a substantial area of natural sub-Saharan bush. The compound contains diverse wildlife and an interesting variety of trees used for medicinal purposes.
We can arrange educational tours through the bush and an introduction to the trees with a traditional medicine practitioner.
The compound is fifteen minutes walk from the unspoilt beach in Diannah (between Abene and Kafountaine).
We can offer a variety of experiences ranging from a peaceful retreat with tai chi and massage to drumming and dance workshops.

About the neighbourhood
Silinka is set in a large area of uncleared sub-Saharan bush and is fifteen minutes walk from the unspoilt beach.
Getting around
We can arrange car or motorbike transport or, alternatively, the public transport system consists of going to the local garage and waiting for a 'sept plas' to fill up.
Journeys to Kafountaine, Diouloulou, Bignona and Ziguinchor are on the regular route from Diannah.
It is also possible to walk along the beach to Abene or Kafountaine.
How to get there
Banjul is the nearest airport.
We can arrange transport to Silinka, or you can arrange your own transport to Diannah village and follow the signs leading to Diannah Bolon. The journey takes approximately one hour, including border stops.
It is possible to travel across the river at Kartong from Gambia, although travellers will need to travel to Selity for an official entry stamp to Senegal.
