Villa Yasmina is a Moorish-style villa with three different buildings, located within a vast Mediterranean garden – a rare occurence in Mondello. The villa lies within the historic core of Mondello, an area known as ‘delle saline’, which still retains something of the appearance and atmosphere of the modest fishing village Mondello was before becoming Palermo’s most popular seaside resort.

The first building, Arabic in style, houses a bedroom with its own small private terrace. From here a paved avenue, leads to the building housing the living area. Villa Yasmina is a Moorish-style villa with three different buildings, located within a vast Mediterranean garden – a rare occurence in Mondello. The villa lies within the historic core of Mondello, an area known as ‘delle saline’, which still retains something of the appearance and atmosphere of the modest fishing village Mondello was before becoming Palermo’s most popular seaside resort.

This consists of a spacious living room, a carefully hidden kitchen, a bar area, and an ample patio with dining table and sofas. The third building holds the rest of the bedrooms – two double rooms with ensuite bathroom on the ground floor, and on the upper floor (reached via a spiral staircase) a suite, consisting of a spacious living room, bedroom with small terrace, a small kitchen and a bathroom. The heart and soul of the villa, however, is the luxuriant garden with its swimming pool. Several little ‘conversation corners’, set with garden furniture and illuminated at night, make it a genuine outdoor living room. The swimming pool is large, with a slide and diving board. There is a changing room and bathroom nearby also.

We like:
The style of Villa Yasmina — not only a perfect example of Sicilian seaside fantasy architecture, but comfortable and fun as well. The garden is vast so even in the height of summer, when Mondello is busy, the villa is quiet. If you want peace and a good pool, and dont mind the lack of sea view, this is ideal. We liked having the beach, shops and restaurants in walking distance — even though we were a bit reluctant to leave the poolside!

Additional amenities include: beach towels, linen and towels (change twice per week), hobb cooktop, mid week day cleaning, dining table, electricity, gas, final cleaning, washing machine (shared), heating, water, sunloungers, espresso machine, outdoor table and chairs, terrace / balcony.
