This original 1905 house in downtown Whitefish is a block to great coffee, market/deli, local beer, fine clothing shops, and the Ski Bus. It is located in a quiet residential area just outside the bustle of the downtown. The crazy history of life in Whitefish early 1900s with pictures of what people did for fun, what the streets looked like through the years, what was happening in the rest of the US during these years. Original Clawfoot Tub, 70+ trees all around the grass yard. A nice adventure.

This house is Licensed and inspected by Fire and Health Departments and license by the City of Whitefish. It is in a quiet residential street only 2 short blocks to all of downtown Whitefish. Bus services nearby.

About the neighbourhood
The thing about the Railway 1905 home is that it is walking distance to everything. You can go to get coffee at the Coffee Traders in town with internet. Or a block to Markus Foods for some hot super chicken. Or over the viaduct (over the tracks) and visit the local specialty distillery or a little further on the right for a brewery with the strangest names for their beers, locally made. There are some very nice clothing stores in town, a handy hardware store with the greatest staff, handmade local ice cream store conveniently next to the Tailwagger, a boutique but homey pet store. Then to complete the tour, the local liquor store has a good variety but they are the only store in town and only open certain days and hours so plan ahead.
Getting around
Depending on the time of year, walking can be great. Ski bus and local bus is also handy but only in certain times of the year. Schedule for the ski bus will be at the house.

Bicycle is a fabulous way to get around in the right season. We do not provide bikes but there is a bike store around the corner. We have bike/walking paths that are within a block of the house. One goes north away from streets and ends up at Whitefish Lake and beach. It is about a mile long. If you go south, cross 2nd Street by the bridge, you will catch a path that follows the Whitefish River to a fun park for children on Baker Ave. Very pretty walk or bike.

How to get there
From the train station, you would leave the station and turn right and go to the next street. Turn right and go a block. There is a great market there with hot food and beer/wine/ice cream... then you turn left past the market to the next street. This is 1st Street. Cross the street, go 2 blocks and you will be there. A tall White house on the corner of 1st and Obrien.

We have taxis in town that goes to the airport. You need to make reservations as they don't automatically go to the Airport unless they have a reservation. I think that there is only one company and they are nice and efficient and reliable.
