A 200-year-old cottage in the picturesque riverside village of Lympstone. Set in the centre of this beautiful Devon village surrounded by three pubs serving excellent food and close to the harbour and cycle path linking with neighbouring Exmouth and historic Topsham. The cottage has two bedrooms, one double and one with bunk beds. A shower room and a fully fitted kitchen with washer drier. Next door is the local convenience store and opposite is the popular Swan Inn and the village rail way station running every half an hour into Exmouth or Exeter. This is an ideal location for walkers and cyclists with easy access to the River Exe cycle path which runs around the edge of the river from Exmouth to Exeter and then along to Starcross with Ferries running at regular intervals. An enchanting cottage!

The cottage was perfect for our stay in Lympstone and a joy to return to at the end of a busy day visiting family in Exmouth and walking. The cottage could not have been better equipped, a real home-from-home. Thank you!

Fantastic cottage

Stayed for 5 days very welcoming hosts couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect cottage we’ll appointed and decor and fittings quality and with character.perfect location close to railway and pub would highly recommend

Miss

Excellent little house right in the centre of the village. Directly opposite station so great for trips to Exmouth. Ship Inn does excellent food. House well equipped but we didn't really use. Jan very friendly on check in. Would definitely come back.

Convenient and reasonable accommodation

Great last minute break, convenient location in the center of town, opposite a pub. Small but adequate for 4 people. Double bed could do with replacing but we were so tired we slept through the creaks and rattles. Great host, flexible and accommodating to last...More

About the neighbourhood
The Puffing Billy at Exton (5 minutes by car) or a 20-minute walk along the cycle track, is also excellent. We would recommend you book just to make sure. The Turf Locks Hotel has extensive gardens alongside the river and canal. The Hotel is on the opposite side of the estuary and is only accessed via a footpath, cycle route or by boat. You can take a ferry from Topsham to the Turf, or catch a ferry from Exmouth and walk or cycle the three miles from Starcross to Turf. The hotel is only open on the Summer season – Easter to September – but has an excellent reputation for good food. There are large gardens to relax in alongside the Exe estuary and the picturesque Exeter canal.
