About the neighbourhood
Blue skies and fresh air are what you notice first when you visit The Upper Penninsula of Michigan. Drive over the Macinac Bridge and you feel like you are driving into another world. Swim in some of the public beaches of Lake Michigan which you will pass as you take route 2 to our cabin. With pristine white sand and so much less crowds than the ocean fronts, we believe that these are some of the best beaches in the world. We also recommend the Gould City Beach. Every year my family enjoys an excursion to Lake Superior. Although the water is chilly, the beaches are even more spectacular than lake Michigan. A favorite destination is Ausable Falls in Grand Marais where we take the dune trail down a cliff of sand to the shore of lake Superior. My kids can't get enough climbing ...
Getting around
You will need to have a car to get to us, but can use a boat to explore the lake. A pontoon boat can be rented for day excursions on Lake Millecoquin.at D and D Grocery Store in Engadine. Bicycles can be used to explore the neighborhood.
