A classic 1800's saltwater farmhouse with dock on a tidal cove in Southport, Maine. Beautiful gardens and a private 1.4 acre yard surrounded by trees. Large deck overlooking the cove with gas grill, table w 6 chairs, and chaises. Excellent kayaking in provided double kayak. Walk to Robinson's Lobster Wharf for dinner. Just outside Boothbay Harbor for access to boat tours, world class golf, shops, restaurants, the Botanical Gardens, Maine State Aquarium, and kayak tours. Southport is a beautiful island with historic lighthouses, beaches and walking trails through the woods. So peaceful yet so close to the action in Boothbay Harbor.

About the neighbourhood
Located on a quiet wooded street on the north end of Southport Island, away from the hustle and bustle but just a short drive from downtown Boothbay Harbor's shopping, restaurants and recreational activity. Walk to Robinsons Wharf restaurant for a lobster on the deck. Easy access off the dock via kayak to protected Townsend Gut and out into the Harbor. Visit Southports beach and country store, the areas hiking trails, lighthouses and the Coastal Maine Botanical gardens. You will never run out of things to do.

From Wiscasset, cross the bridge on Rte. 1 and take a right onto Rte. 27 towards Boothbay Harbor. Proceed down the peninsula, through town, and across the Southport swing bridge onto Southport Island. Left onto Plummer Road just past the Bridge and around Decker Cove.
