The Victorian style Philip Houston House was built in 1905 and has been beautifully restored and furnished with antiques, crystal chandeliers and lovely original woodwork It offers three comfortable bedrooms, a relaxing library and full breakfast. Internet access. Enjoy its wrap around porch with wicker chairs and seize the opportunity at night to view vast starry skies. Tours are available of the Shepherd's Staff Conference Center which it is a part of. Please no smoking or pets. On the street parking is ample. Price is for each bedroom per night..

It is situated in a small quiet rural community of Rexford, Kansas. It is twenty miles north of I70 on Hi Way 83, It approx. four and a half hours east from the Denver airport. Colby 20 miles West offers restaurants, museum, a water park and other entertainment.

My brother, nephew and I met up here because it was halfway between where we each live. We wanted to find a place where we could hang out, do our own cooking and have a nice weekend of table-top gaming (therefore needing a large table.)...More

Rexford is a quaint community with its restored Main Street and well kept home sites. On the way to Colby, tours are available of the McCarty Family Farms dairy and processing plant. This plant provides the Dannon company milk for its' yogurt product. Colby offers restaurants, golf, a water park and the Prairie museum.The Buffalo Bill Center is in Oakley , to the south and antique stores can be found in Oberlin to the North and Goodland to the West.

From Kansas City go West on I 70 to Grainfield exit. Go North to Hoxie. Go West on HWY 24 just past Menlo to State 36. Go North to Rexford.
