We rented this place for a family reunion. Other members of our group rented other places. This place was not the reunion site but lodging for ourselves and our daughter's family. Worked perfectly. House was very interesting architecturally, plenty of space for bedrooms and hang out areas. The owner generously provided some food in the kitchen and was very accommodating in many ways.

Felt like home
The location was perfect for a Notre Dame graduation weekend. The house was comfortable with the right combination of bedrooms and bathrooms for our graduates and extended families. We cooked out on the deck, played cards, and visited in the gazebo. We even had marshmallows and smores by the firepit.
Our host was more than gracious and made us all feel welcome from the moment we booked the property. He anticipated what would make our stay more comfortable and easy before we did.

A great property, amazing owner
We have stayed in many homes over the years across the country, mostly great experiences. This one was over the top. Theron is the most organized owner I have ever dealt with, and again, I have dealt with many great owners. Just about when you think there cannot be anything left to cover, he reaches out to you for additional questions to make the stay smooth and comfortable. From breakfast items, to snacks, to drinks, just an incredible host. We were here for the Navy game. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the University. There is a Martin’s grocery within a mile or so. And the outdoor porch and gazebo were ideal for the mild weather we experienced. Theron has great attention to detail. It’s a home he lives in when in South Bend, so he is about as hands on as you can get. And the downstairs is huge. Pictures don’t do it justice. And just having a TV that does not require a software engineering degree…our last two stays in South Bend we never could figure out how to watch TV…and having the movie ‘Rudy’ queued up in the DVR player, again, attention to detail. Thanks Theron for an amazing six days!

Notre Dame Weekend
Great place for a large family gathering. The owner of the rental is extremely organized and has incredible attention to detail.
The house had plenty of room for two families, and the outdoor area is ideal. This is a lovely historic home with plenty of character.

Great place to stay
This home was everything we needed and more. The owners are fantastic hosts . They supplied us with a great breakfast and all kinds of goodies.

Family trip to celebrate mother's 80th birthday.
It is a large farmhouse with great history. My family loved the spaciousness on the inside and the large deck and gazebo outside. Lots of games for outside and a large fire pit. Located close to the supermarket, and mall. Your family should love this location for your events. The caretaker was very helpful and eager to make your stay great.

Great place. Bigger than you think!
Great place with immensely more room than I could see in the pictures. We had 12 people there, brought a few blow up beds. We had a nice bon fire on Friday night, spent our Saturday afternoon canoeing in bristol, IN, and visiting a casino that evening. Great guys trip. Thank you!

Perfect stay for our crew
This was a charming older home, close to Notre Dame, shops and restaurants, and state parks. We met another family for a long weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The owner is very responsive and leaves the home very well stocked. He even left breakfast and snacks for us, which no other home rental has ever done for us before. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, the screened in gazebo and firepit in the backyard are great, plenty of seating inside and outside, etc.

Great stay
This is a beautiful old home. It is very well cared for and very clean. It is one of the best stocked homes we have rented! Lots of goodies to eat, plenty of towels etc. Lots of room. Easy access to campus and the highway. The owner is extremely responsive and very helpful. Definitely recommend to others.

Wonderful vacation home
This is a beautiful home that is well cared for and very comfortable. The rooms are larger than they look in the pictures. The kitchen was well laid out and there was ample room for all eight of us at the dining table. The owner left plenty of condiments for us to use while we were there. The beds were very comfortable.
There is a large screened in gazebo for sitting outside and a fire pit in the back yard. We had a great time sitting around the fire telling campfire ghost stories.
For an historic home, this one had the modern amenities without taking away from the vintage charm. The location on the main road made it easy to get to the store, South Bend, and the Michigan lakes. Even though it was on a busy road, we were not bothered with traffic noise in the house.
I highly recommend this vacation home to anyone travelling to the South Bend/Granger area.
