This historic small town is a hidden treasure of Florida and lies as a “Fat Point”, sticking out into Charlotte Harbor – one of the US’s largest natural harbors We are blessed with Florida sunshine year-round and attract both tourists and new residents alike, who come to Punta Gorda to enjoy the lifestyle that we have become famous for. It is a paradise for fisherman, boaters, sun-worshipers and shoppers alike. As the only incorporated city of Charlotte County, Florida, Punta Gorda is the vibrant engine of the area. It boasts wonderful restaurants, marinas and a pace of life that people from around the world come to enjoy.
Getting around Punta Gorda, especially Historic Punta Gorda, can be done in a variety of ways. Do you like to bike, walk or run? Then, you'll enjoy our amazing Linear Park. Built on a historic railroad bed abandoned in the late 1890’s this shared use path runs along a tidal canal which gently sweeps through the historic neighborhoods of Punta Gorda. Our downtown area is easily accessed by all forms of travel. Cars are welcome, but you'll notice that bikes are definitely our beloved form of get-around tool. They are also free to rent in the downtown area!

Our rental is conveniently located just a few miles from I-75 in Southwest Florida. The Charlotte County Airport Authority operates a great facilty just a few minutes from our door step with service from many national airlines. The airport abbreviation is PGD. We are 1.5 hours away from Tampa, 45 minutes away from Fort Myers, 1 hour from Sarasota and 2.5 hours away from Orlando! We have plenty of room to park your RV, four vehicles or a plethora of bicycles!
