A beautiful rambling thatched house in one of Devon's most delightful hidden villages, Home House is the picture of idyllic rural England. As you wind your way through the lanes, past flower filled hedgerows and through rolling fields to get to the village, you'll see plenty of thatched cottages and you'll pass an award winning traditional pub.
There is Home House, nestling in the valley and bordered by orchards, with a stream running through its spacious sunny garden (both an enclosed walled garden and a larger lawned area), down to its own indoor heated swimming pool. It's a large house – once one of the major farmhouses in the village – and it has been stylishly decorated and smartly furnished to give you the charm of the old with the comfort and chic elegance of the new.

Interaction with guests
We live alongside Home House in a barn conversion at the bottom of the garden and we always endeavour to meet guests on arrival. We are happily on hand if information or help is needed and otherwise we will stay discreetly in the background as much as possible.

The perfect base for a relaxing break, some lovely scenery and views as well as a great pub a few minutes away. Owners were friendly and the property magnificent. Would heartily recommend.

We had a fantastic time at Home House. There were 14 of us in total. 9 adults & 4 children all under the age of 11. The pool was brilliant for the children despite not being right by the house which actually worked out well for the other adults who weren't supervising to have an extra lie in! Wifi was...

We stayed here for a family celebration of my Dads 70th Birthday with 8 adults and 6 children (8-19yrs). The house was lovely, large, well equipped and tastefully decorated. Combeinteignhead is a quintessential Devon village with a warm and welcoming village pub within 5 minutes walking distance from the house. The Teign Estuary (leading to Shaldon and Teignmouth) is a 12 minute walk away and that is where you will also find the beautifully situated Combe Cellars pub.

A car is essential but the train can be taken to local towns and cities such as Exeter and Plymouth.
