Beautiful area, but you're on your own once you're there!
When we arrived, we tried to call the owner to get into the gated community, but he did not answer after a couple attempts. Fortunately, he gave us another number for a one time "free let in" that we had to use to access the community initially. The owner charged us extra bc we had kids with us, no big deal, until we got to the house and realized the cable didn't work! Ahh!! We tried to call the owner about this but got no answer and never got a returned call the whole trip. We were left a gate opener to a back entrance of the community but no directions to where this entrance was so we had to flag down another resident of the community to show us where the entrance was to get back in once we left. The house was decent. There was a lizard in the guest closet and lots of little worms but I assumed that could be bc of the climate. The kitchen was nice and master shower was amazing! The beach was gorgeous and I would definitely come again...but I would stay in a house with working cable! Once we were there, we were on our own, no way to get any help with any issues we had.

About the neighbourhood
Hacienda Village is divided into three 'districts.' You will be in the 'houses' or villas, of which there are maybe 40. The other two villages are known as the 'red roofs' and the 'grey roofs,' for obvious reasons. These are two-story, four-plex type townhouses, four to a building. All of this in entertwined between lovely, fully mature fig trees, palms and various and sundry other treasure, plus a few lakes thrown in for good measure. You will have your own garage, and are within walking distance of every Hacienda Village amenity, including the clubhouse, two pools, tennis courts and shuffle board.
