Goonwinnow Farm is a small traditional development of 4 cottages around the Owners' house set in 7 acres of rolling countryside a few miles inland from Cornwall's stunning Atlantic Coast. The golden sands and rolling surf at Perranporth, Holywell Bay and Newquay are all within a 15 minute drive. Goonwinnow also has the superb advantage of being within a few minutes drive of the A30 dual carriageway, meaning that all kinds of attractions are within a short drive, including the Eden Project, Lanhydrock and even St Michael's Mount. The Farm is just a brilliant place to stay having the benefit of extensive grounds, including a children's play area with a slide, climbing frame, see saw and swings and a great games room. Wheel House itself has a wonderful 8 person hot tub immediately outside! Wheel House itself has a wonderful 8 person hot tub immediately outside! Wheel House is semi-detached and retains the original water wheel at the front. Set out in reverse style, on the ground floor there are three bedrooms and a bathroom. On the first floor there is a large open plan living area with lofted ceilings and exposed beams, a further bedroom and a shower room. From the first floor you can enjoy the views across the valley towards St Newlyn East. Accommodation Ground Floor: Double bedroom with 5' bed and sink, twin bedroom with 3' zip & link beds which can be made into a 6' double bed, bunk bedroom with two sets of bunks (sleeping 4). Family bathroom with shower over bath & WC. There is also a separate WC. First Floor: Open plan living room and kitchen with a dining area. There is a double bedroom with 4'6' bed and a separate shower room with WC. Exterior: The front door opens onto a small deck with 5 steps down to the ground level. There is outside seating and the fantastic hot tub. There is a BBQ but you will need to provide your own charcoal. There are 7 ½ acres which include a children's play area, picnic benches and pagoda. There is a games room with table tennis, table football and pool table. Facilities & Services Heating is via oil fired central heating. The kitchen has a range of equipment. There is an electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer. The sitting room area has a flat screen digital TV & DVD player, CD & radio. There is WiFi available at the property. There is an iron & ironing board. A hair dryer is also available. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. Up to 2 well behaved dogs will be permitted at a small additional cost of £30 per dog / per week. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. There is a cot & high chair available and a stair gate. There are parking facilities for 3 vehicles, please enquire if additional parking is needed. General Booking Information Arrival/Departure is a Saturday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods. £200 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required. House is great for a big family, very clean and loads of facilities in terms of the games room and hot tub. Location is ideal in that it is very quiet (about a mile from the nearest village) but within 20 minutes drive of Newquay...More
