Nothing is far from anywhere in Nevis and the cabin is quiet and private. I would recommend a rental car though. We received the highest level of service from Tazel, at Striker's Car rental. The cabin is small, but it's clean and tidy, with a great little kitchen and A/C. We cooked in a lot and appreciated the gas range, toaster oven, etc. Tazel arranged our water taxi and pick up at Oualie Beach, the driver took us to the cabin, where our rental car was waiting for us. It even has an electric gate, with a remote. I can't say enough about the service and help with logistics, thanks.

A perfect getaway
This was a perfect little secluded hideaway. It is a simple cabin but has all that we needed to completely chill out. No, it isn't all luxurious but we weren't looking for that. And Tazel is a sweetheart and looked after us just as we wanted.

A Laid Back Relaxing Place
The Yellow Cabin is in Gingerland off Hanley Road. It is very rural and has lots of goats, monkeys and donkeys roaming about. It has 2 bedrooms and as advertised fully equipped with all the amenities you could possibly want, from very good internet, internet telephone, and two air conditioners. Tezel is very organized and helped us with our arrival. She arranged a taxi in St. Kitts, water taxi to Nevis, and a ride to The Yellow Cabin. Tezel also arranged for a rental car that was waiting for us at the house when we arrived. She was easily available with a quick text and made sure all was going well. We really appreciated all she did for us. The cabin was immaculate with Maria coming once a week to “service” the cabin. We were on Nevis for four weeks and had a very relaxing and restful visit. We enjoyed ourselves tooling around the island and enjoying the numerous restaurants and beaches every day.

Abgelegenes Traumdomizil
Kleines,süßes Ferienhäuschen auf einer Anhöhe inmitten eines sehr schön angelegten Gartens der Vermieter.
Dank der vielen Blumen sind auch viele Kolibris vor Ort.
Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfbereit,vor allem Tazel.
Die Cabin hat alles was man braucht.Die Vermieter verleihen auch unkompliziert einen Mietwagen.
Ein Highlight ist definitiv die komplett mit Mosquitonetzen verkleidete Terrasse(Balkon),was einen den Abend ohne Mückenschutzspray überstehen läßt!
Die Yellow Cabin hat uns sicher Hurrikan Maria überstehen lassen!
Die Lage lädt zum Wandern ein.
Gerne wieder!!!

Adorable - and isolated
This cabin is absolutely adorable ~ with a cozy bedroom (note to couples -one side of the bed is against the wall, if that matters to you) small second bedroom, living room and compact kitchen. The bathroom is adequate. What we loved best was the screened in porch! So fun for eating breakfast or dinner. The one comment we have to offer is it felt very isolated for two women traveling together. One evening on the porch we suddenly could smell smoke (cigarette or "other") but there were no lights or sounds nearby (bear in mind, just outside the fenced yard is nothing but forest) . Shortly later, low voices. It definitely felt like we were not alone in this idyllic spot and it was a little disquieting. I mention this only because it was the only time in our three trips to Nevis that we were a little on edge in terms of personal safety. The cabin was SPOTLESS and well equipped, and the property manager charming and helpful.

Cozy, quiet bungalow!
My husband, my sister, and myself absolutely love this place! Exactly what I was hoping it would be. Clean, comfortable, conveniently located to grocery stores, gas stations, Charlestown, hiking, beaches, plantations, basically everything! When we realized we had charcoal for the outdoor grill but no lighter fluid, the next door neighbor came to the rescue. Taught us how to start a fire with dried palm leaves -- a definite first! Rent a vehicle as we did from the owners' car rental company, Strikers, and you will receive a discount and pick up from ferry port or airport. A big thank you to Tazel and Priscilla -- both so helpful and obliging!

Cute and cozy little get away cabin
My husband and I just stayed here. We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is a cute and cozy island home with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The landscaping is very well done and the house is well maintained. It is a little off the beaten path but it also gives you time to explore the island a little more; it takes about 20 minutes to get down to the beach from here. The breeze at night is wonderful and the animals who walk by the house every morning and evening are very entertaining. You do get a little peek of the Atlantic Ocean which is nice but you also get a beautiful view of the mountain.
If we come back to the island we would definitely stay here again. Best bargain on the island!

Outstanding Cabin Experience in the Countryside
We spent three days on Nevis March 12-14, and the Yellow Cabin was a relaxing location in the countryside. This was an ideal location, with no near neighbors excepting the donkeys, goats and monkeys. Just a short drive or walk to the main road there is an excellent supermarket, ice-cream and bakery. The view of Nevis Peak and the sunrise over the sea are magnificent. The various flowering plants in the garden from the screened in porch are beautiful. There is a nice covered picnic table to eat outdoors. The cabin is very comfortable, and has an exceptionally outfitted kitchen and the washing machine was a nice surprise. What a treat to discover a fully stocked refrigerator of fruits, juices, beer and wine. The cabin is spotless and has many amenities including the availability of speedy Wifi and multiple cable TV’s.
Thank you Tazel for picking us up at the Ferry with our rental car and for being a tremendous host, including, on our departure, holding up the ferry service until we boarded! We hope to come back for a longer stay!

Amazing
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The place is located in a quiet area surrounded by nature. The house has everything you need to stay. Excellent getaway point if you want to climb the mountain but also close to the nice white sand beaches of Nevis
You will need a car to get around but Tazel the homeowner will take care of everything

Our new home away from home!
We had the best experience from the moment we were picked up by Striker in our rental car..shortly after we met Tazel and mentioned to her we had just gotten engaged and wanted to get married on the island on Sunday...(We arrived Thursday to the cabin). Tazel without hesitation took us under her wing and became our Wedding Planner. FIrst we checked into the Cabin and we were so impressed with the location...lots of donkeys,monkeys,goats making it for an interesting backdrop along with Nevis Peak ..What an amazing view...The house had everything and more of what you would need to make your stay relaxing and stress free. The back porch is where we spent many mornings and dinners...Tazel thought of everything...welcome basket-beers,sodas and wine in fridge upon arrival....Plenty of towels in the bathroom and the bedroom is so quaint and romantic with the mosquito net. We cooked a few times and used the grill as well , but there are many local eateries within walking or driving distance....This place is a great way to feel the local flavor of the island ..In addition to loving every aspect of the cabin...Tazel pulled off a dream wedding for us in 2.5 days...I could not believe it! One of the best parts was the long distance calls included..I was able to share the news of my engagement and marriage with my family.We arrived engaged to the cabin and left married....it would not have happened without Tazel and Striker. We miss them and the cabin so much!

The Golden Rock Hotel, Hermitage Hotel, Montplier Hotel and Old Manor Hotel are open for breakfast lunch and dinner. Enjoy the island's delicious cuisines at these establishments. Each hotel has its own night of festivities such as buffet, caribbean night, dancing etc. There is also Peak Heaven, a historical site that boasts some of the most spectacular views of the windward side of the island. There are plenty of nature hikes, horse back riding and historical sites to visit. For your convenience there are local supermarkets, variety stores, police station, health care facilities and churches. Public transportation is never far away or if needed, you can rent a car or SUV from Striker's Car Rental nearby.
