Borrego Springs has warm sunny weather year round so if you love the outdoors you will enjoy staying here. We have guests that have been coming back for years. 'The Time Capsule' is a 1968 Avion trailer has been totally refurbished with new paint, hardwood floors, AC, new kitchenware, new drapes etc. 'The Time Capsule' is 48 years old so please be gentle with her. There is lots of storage for your belongings. The front dinette folds into a large full / queen bed. The bathroom has a real house toilet, and a 1/2 size bathtub but if you prefer you can use the public showers at the center of the park which are less cramped. It sits on its own private space close to the open desert, pool, Jacuzzi, laundry room and clubhouse that has free WIFI. The trailer has many windows and has a very airy feeling with spectacular views of the mountains from the living room and bedroom. Outside is a dining table and a Chimenea for making fires. Even though to the untrained eye the desert looks dry and desolate, once you spend a night in the middle of it all you may hear the howl of a coyote in the distance, in the morning you might wake up to the sounds of different kinds of birds, while sitting outside drinking your morning coffee you'll see rabbits, humming birds, lizards etc. We normally try to leave some snacks and treats for our guests so please help yourself and enjoy your stay. Guest access When guests arrive I will leave a key for you or have the park manager meet you with a key if he is not on his day off. You have the use of the vintage trailer and the space that it sits on. You also have access to the pool, Jacuzzi, clubhouse inside a large vintage trailer with free WIFI and the laundry room which takes quarters. Trailer location inside the park: As you enter the park you drive up from the main entrance up a hill to the back of the park. When you get to the top take a right and the silver trailer is on your immediate left. Desert Sands RV Park is just a stroll to Anza Borrego State Park, the largest in the state , art and culture, restaurants, bars and dining, great views, and the rustic artsy town of Borrego Springs that doesn't even have a traffic light or any big chain stores. There are numerous golf resorts within a 5 mile radius. There are hundreds of miles of hiking, mountain biking, road biking, off roading close by, mountain views, and points of interest. The state run visitor center us just up the street and has many interesting things regarding life in the prehistoric desert. Getting around Other things to note The vintage trailer park is a very quiet quaint park. Other guests of the park must not be bothered by noise, partying, loud talking or shouting etc. 'Super' quiet time is from 8pm to 8am. If you bring kids they have to be extremely quiet and not bother other guests. No horsing around, shouting or crying. Regarding amenities:- *There is wireless internet which is only in the clubhouse or close proximity. Normally its at an acceptable speed but may be slower at times. There is only one provider in our small town. * The TV is located inside the clubhouse * The laundry is located at the center of the park and takes quarters. * The pool and Jacuzzi are located at the center of the park * The public showers and bathrooms are at the center of the park next to the pool. Using the trailer toilet and either kitchen or bathroom sink is fine but there is no hot running water. Its quite cramped showering in the trailer anyway. * The Time Capsule is almost 50 years old and is not ADA compliant Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: 47-4723616More

Located in a Vintage RV Park, End corner spot. Faces open desert, a lot of thought gone into making this unit comfortable. Owner is quick to respond and is thorough in covering all questions and posts all info needed.

About the neighbourhood
Borrego Springs is a dark sky community meaning there are no bright white lights and people use deep orange lights on homes and buildings so that the stars and moon can shine as bright as possible.
Getting around
The drive into town is roughly one mile away. You can walk, drive or you can bring your bicycles and start exploring. Behind the RV park is a small mountain where you can take a morning stroll to the top and capture some breathtaking images with your camera.
