Eine wunderschöne Appartment Anlage direkt am Strand von Plakias. Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme für Gäste inklusive. Ihre eigene Beachbar wird gerade eröffnet. 3 Zimmer Appartment mit 2 Schlafzimmern: sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Toller Blick von der Terrasse in den Garten und aufs Meer. About the neighbourhood

Plakias is situated about 30 minutes by car to the south of Rethymno. Most of the houses lie near the small harbour in Plakias around the large half-moon shaped bay. The route to Plakias is magical as whichever of the two you take, you will pass through either the Kourtaliotiko Gorge or the Kotsifou Gorge. As you travel through the Kourtaliotiko Gorge, you can marvel at the waters gushing from between the rocks and flowing down to Preveli Lake. Plakias beach starts from the village and stretches eastward. It is one of the longest beaches in Crete, giving a sense of comfort and wide-open space, while at the same time satisfying all tastes as the east end of the beach is preferred by nudists. There are showers all along the beach and plenty of space to park your car. It is also an interesting experience to travel through the Kotsifou Gorge, and to visit the picturesque little villages surrounding Plakias, such as Mirthios, Sellia and Mariou where you can take part in many cultural activities and fairs. Don't forget to visit the unique Preveli Monastery with its renovated museum where many relics from the life of the Monastery are kept. From Plakias harbour you can also take a small boat to Loutro Hanion and to Preveli beach at the mouth of the Kourtalioti River. Finally, you will be delighted with the distinct character of the local people who will immediately become your friends, as well as with the Cretan hospitality.

Visitors can choose the airports at Hania or Irakleio if they decide to fly or the ports of Rethymno, Hania or Irakleio if they decide to travel by ship.You may travel on to Plakias in a rented car, you can pick up your car directly from the airport or from the centre of Hania or Rethymno.You can also travel by bus as there is a regular bus service to Plakias run by the Greek bus operator (KTEL) from Rethymno.
