Neon is a superbly located apartment complex and this is one of the best apartments in the building. Spacious and well appointed, it allows a family or large group to enjoy a relaxing holiday with home from home comforts. The kitchen is well set up (with a proper oven) and all the furniture is hand made from local wood. The apartment has two bedrooms separated from the living/dining room by a large hallway which means the grown ups can enjoy apres ski whilst little ones catch up on their sleep. Whilst many advertisers say their apartment is close to the gondola, ours really is. You can check how busy the gondola is from the balcony and be at the foot of the mountain in two minutes. When the snow is good you can ski all the way home! Spent with friends an unforgettable New Year's holidays. The apartments are very good. Spacious rooms, good heating, complete set of dishes. Everywhere very clean. And most importantly, two minutes before the main ski lift !!!! Thank you Jen for good sea of emotions !!!

Furniture is hand crafted from local wood giving the apartment a warm feel. A large entrance hall provides storage for mountain bikes and skis. There is a bathroom with bath and shower, and separate toilet. A wet room houses the washing machine and dryer. The two bedrooms are at one end of the hall and the living space at the other meaning that children can sleep peacefully whilst adults enjoy their evening. The kitchen is set up for those who like to cook and there is enough crockery and glassware for ten people. The sofa beds are comfortable and all linen is of very good quality. There is plenty of storgage for clothing and suitcases. Living room features a surround sound TV/DVD player. We have had five adults and two children and a baby stay in the apartment without it feeling cramped. The apartment is warm in winter and the views from the living/dining room picture windows are stunning. The wifi is excellent.

About the neighbourhood
Bansko itself is a UNESCO world heritage site featuring a medieval church and interesting post-Soviet and traditional statues and architecture. It retains a unique identity despite the tourist trade, and is small enough to be able to explore properly on foot. Bansko is well set up for self catering tourists and the Sunday market sells everything from fresh vegetables to cow bells and locally produced knit wear.
