Runie Lodge was built as the local school in 1851 and has been refurbished providing a high quality holiday home with spacious rooms which can comfortably accommodate 5 persons. Original stone features, oak beams, wood burning stoves and tastefully decorated in Farrow and Ball colours, the lodge is tranquil and the ideal location to relax and unwind. The holiday home is in the schoolteachers wing.

The kitchen is a social area with table, chairs and window seat, fully equipped to a high standard with range cooker, retro fridge & ice box and island unit. Look out to the garden and river and chat to the family while preparing the dinner.

Just North of Ullapool in the Highlands of Scotland. Beautifully warm with log burners. Spotlessly clean with a large kitchen /diner (log burner) and a large living room (log burner). Absolutely peaceful - can hear the silence. Red deer around the cottage and a babbling river below the large garden. Very dog friendly. A fantastic place for mountaineering, nature watching...

Just had a fantastic week at Runie Lodge. Really looked forward to the woodburning stoves after a day out hillwalking. Great location. Only 10 minute drive to Ullapool if you need to. Very comfortable and well equipped. We will be back next year.

Management response:

Thanks for the review Sarah and Neil, you were lovely guests and we look forward to welcoming you back May 2019!

Runie Lodge is about 6 miles north of Ullapool, set in open countryside, yet only a few hundred yards from the main road. A very warm welcome awaits in a very well furnished house. The kitchen is a joy, and the fresh hens eggs and home made cup cakes on arrival were a real treat. The living room is warm...

Management response:

Thank you very much for the 5 * review, we are very pleased you found the lodge so comfortable and enjoyed the surrounding area. When you wish to come back we would gladly welcome you and your family.
