We often give 1 or 2 free nights so please check price with owner before booking (price may be less than shown on this site). This high spec, newly-converted coach house is specially designed for big groups of friends or families to live in luxury and enjoy activities in any weather. Interaction with guests
The owners, Alan and Juliet, live next door. We don't mind noise and fun (our walls are thick) and we are available to meet guests arriving and on-hand most of the time to help with requests (or just a phonecall away). The cats, hens and llamas are on-hand for attention and cuddles. We are happy to leave you in complete peace or to tell about you about local places/activities & invite you to join us as below. Anyone is welcome to accompany Alan on a guitar & drum jamming session in our house and/or to come for a walk with Annie-Laurie the llama, around the village (or just to the Coach House window to surprise your friends). Birthday people/hens/stags etc may have a complementary trip in the motorcycle sidecar in decent weather.

How to get there
Airport: Glasgow, Prestwick, Edinburgh or Newcastle (Manche: 157.0 km
Railway: Dumfries: 20.0 km
Ferry: Stranraer: 90.0 km
From Dumfries, head west on A75 (east on A75 from Stranraer/Castle Douglas). After about 12 miles, turn right in village of Springholm, opposite the shop, towards Kirkpatrick Durham. At crossroads in Kirkpatrick Durham, turn right. Durhamhill's drive is the first on the right after leaving the village. Turn right down the drive, pass the first coachhouse on left (games room), pass the main house on left, and the coachhouse is the last building on the left.

Warning - do not follow sat. nav. for last mile or two as it will direct you up a 'shortcut' track to the right just before the village of Kirkpatrick Durham. This track is very bumpy and muddy.

The Grapes pub in Springholm usually serves free meals for children.
