Holiday Rental House
Possibly the next best thing to The Orient Express. Our accomodation is in a beautifully converted 1957 railway carriage. The two ensuite bedrooms are superbly decorated and very comfortable. The galley area is well equipped with all the facilities you might expect. The lounge area has two couches, flat screen TV, Internet access and outstanding views over the local countryside. The location is ideal for walkers, mountain bikers, golfers, anglers or anyone looking for an entirely restful break. The carriage is located in the old station yard which is now all grass and is perfect for children and pets - which are most welcome at no extra charge....Possibly the next best thing to The Orient Express. Perfect scenic location with plenty of space to relax. Carriage is bigger than you would imagine with plenty of room for three couples.

How to get there
By Air. Fly to either Glasgow or Prestwick airports. From Glasgow airport by road take the M8 heading east then the link onto the M77 heading to Kilmarnock and Ayr. From Prestwick get onto the Ayr bypass at the end of the M77. From either airport you are now on the Ayr bypass. Follow this round until you see the exit signed Castle Douglas and take that road. It is about 45 miles to Castle Douglas. As you approach Castle Douglas look for signs to Stranraer A75. Take that road heading west. About 1 mile after joining the A75 there is a roundabout. Take exit 2 signed A75 Stranraer. About 1 mile from this roundabout you cross the river Dee. There is a small road to the right signposted Glenlochar about 400 metres after the bridge. Take that right turn and we are the first property on the left about 300 metrs off the A75.
