Our luxury boutique self catering studio offers a peaceful haven for couples to relax and unwind in spacious and comfortable surroundings. With its' own private entrance, library lounge with log burning stove and light bright conservatory with fully fitted kitchen overlooking the beautiful farmhouse garden, The Bothy offers the perfect romantic bolthole in the countryside. A sumptuous kingsize bedroom leads off to an en-suite bathroom with large massage shower.
Just 3 miles from the quaint cobbled market town of Kelso, and riverside walks in stunning countryside on the doorstep, The Bothy never fails to impress.

Fabulous place to stay. Very comfortable with beautiful surroundings. Amazing night sky from the conservatory. Only minutes from local towns and places of interest to explore. Very friendly hosts. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay and would consider returning.

About the neighbourhood
The quaint cobbled market town of Kelso is just 3 miles from Kersmains, and offers a host of unique boutique shops, award winning restaurants and of course the famous Kelso Races ('Britain's friendliest race course'). Floors Castle and Kelso Abbey offer some ancient history as well as breathtaking sights, and visitors just love watching the salmon leap along the River Tweed from Teviot Bridge.
If golfing is your favoured sport- then the championship Roxburghe Golf Course lies just across the river, and is a short 10 minute drive from Kersmains.

Airport: Edinburgh: 87.0 km
Railway: Berwick upon Tweed: 43.0 km
Ferry: Newcastle: 90.0 km
rom Kelso; Take the road from Kelso to St Boswells on the A699. Follow this for approx 2.5 miles then turn left for Roxburgh and Nisbet. Kersmains is 1 mile along this road and is the first farm on your right hand side.

Getting there by railway:- Nearest railway station is Berwick Upon Tweed travelling from the South, or Edinburgh if travelling from the North.

Getting there by aeroplane:- Nearest Airport, Edinburgh Airport. 1 hour 10 mins drive to Kersmains. Follow the City Bypass heading South East, then exit from the A720 for Jedburgh (A68). Follow the A68 to Carfraemill then take first exit at roundabout onto the A697. Continue until the junction for Kelso on the A6089 and follow this road to Kelso. From Kelso, follow directions as above.
