Just back from a weekend at this beautiful cottage. The cottage had everything you needed from a well equipped kitchen, a cosy living room with open fire and comfortable bedrooms would not hesitate to book again.

We had a very pleasant, very comfortable, unplanned short break. It wasnt booked until a few hours before we left and we arrived as the housekeeper was leaving the cottage. Great weather too! Nice coastline. Visited Runswick Bay, Robin Hoods Bay, Boggle Hole and Ravenscar....More

About the neighbourhood
Delightful, spacious, well equipped cottage in the heart of old Staithes. On the border between North Yorkshire and Cleveland, Staithes is part of the North York Moors conservation area, and is famous as the home of the explorer Captain James Cook. A ruggedly beautiful part of the country, Staithes is world renowned for Artists 'The Staithes Group' around 1900, and has a small but thriving art industry now with a gallery in the heart of the old town. Staithes has one of the most photographed and instantly recognisable vistas in Yorkshire, just do a search and you'll see. It's cobbled streets tightly packed cottages and small alleyways are reminiscent of a Cornish village.
