Padstow House is a large six double bedroomed house with stunning sea views across to Rock. Just a short stroll to the harbour for Rick Stein's four restaurants as well as other great eateries such as the Michelin Star Paul Ainsworth's Number 6, Rojano's and numerous other eatieries and pubs. A pretty fishing village with plenty to do and see for all the family. You can walk to a lovely beach at St George's Well, crabbing in the harbour or head for some of the best beaches around only a few minutes drive away. We are just minutes from the start of the Camel Trail, which is a bike route to Bodmin and beyond. The house has a modern simple feel with bare wood or slate floors, modern furniture and marble fireplaces . Will house 12 easily in comfort with enough room to allow everyone their own space.We have a fully fitted gloss white kitchen with range cooker, American fridge/freezer (with chilled water/ice), microwave and dishwasher as well as Franke sink. In the outside lockable laundry room is a washing machine, sink and tumble drier, and there is a hose pipe outside (useful for getting feet clean of sand). Bikes can be locked away in the laundry room if you like.Relax and read in the library room, eat together in the dining room at the large oak table to seat 12 with marble open fire. In the lounge relax on one of three sofas and admire the amazing sea views. The kids might like our TV/games... more

Rental is confirmed upon payment of a 30% deposit and receipt of a booking form. The balance is payable 6 weeks before the rental with a £500 refundable security and nuisance deposit normally taken by cheque and held on file. This deposit is not only for payment of breakages but also as a protection for the neighbours in case of excessive noise, particularly where disturbance has led to any loss of business from their bed and breakfast operations.In some circumstances off-season we may offer reductions for smaller parties where we close off some of the bedrooms. Please ask for details. We have two put-you-up beds for children for £25 per bed, made up with fluffy duvets and towels provided.Well-behaved dogs may be allowed at a rate of £25 per dog per booking. Dogs are not allowed on beds or furniture, and must not be left unattended at the property. About the neighbourhood
Padstow has a lovely small harbour and pretty houses and streets lovely for a stroll or crabbing whilst eating a Rick Stein pasty. There are great walks either around Padstow or across the ferry £3 return to Rock. The house is the perfect location for off-peak breaks and has been enjoyed by groups wanting to enjoy walking the SW coastal path and the house is actually on the start of the Saints' Way.

Try surfing, sailing, waterskiing, diving, kayaking or coasteering nearby. The Camel trail is only 200m away, where bikes can be hired to cycle into Wadebridge, Bodmin or Camelford. Further a field is the Eden Project 15 miles or the Lost Gardens of Helligan 17 miles. Why not try St Ives, the Minnack Theatre or Crealys for the kids which is just 3 miles away.

Fly in from Newquay and get a local taxi, or use the local buses to get to a South West Coastal walking spot and walk back to Padstow (or the other way round). Bring bikes or hire them to go on the Camel Trail as far as Camelford.
