We stayed here for the whole month of January, and what a lovely cozy and extremely comfortable place this is. It is wonderfully located so that we could venture out to explore the many interesting places in Cornwall. Located in the centre of the village of St Mabyn, the cottage offers great privacy and a pretty enclosed garden where we...

Brilliant week staying in this delightful cottage & barn. Very well equipped, comfy beds and great shower. Perfectly located for walking, surfing and having a lovely time with friends. Great pubs serving super food. What a find! We don't want to leave, but will hopefully be back.

About the neighbourhood
St. Mabyn is well placed to explore miles of remote untamed moorland and windswept rocky tors – just 10 minutes from the two highest peaks in Cornwall, Roughtor and Brown Willy. Take a walk up either and on a fine day you will see both North and South Cornish coasts.

The slopes of Roughtor house an important Bronze Age settlement and is the site of a Bronze Age village in the area.

Within 3 miles there are a handful of really good food pubs incl. St Kew Inn, St Tudy Inn and best of all the newly refurbished St Mabyn Inn is receiving great reviews for their food and fabulous welcoming atmosphere. It's about 200 metres from the cottage.
