Tuishuisie is two story apartment offering three en suite bedrooms, each with a balcony. It sleeps up to six persons (3 couples sharing) and offers ample living room space. The living area is spacious and filled with natural light with solid oak floors and large windows. Patio doors stack open up to a patio with a wooden deck where you can lounge in the shadow of an enormous 200-year old oak tree. The living area includes the open plan kitchen with seating for six, and a comfy couch ideal for lazy afternoons or snug winter evenings in front of a Nordic wood burning stove.
The kitchen is well-appointed. It has a fridge, freezer, microwave, gas hob, electric oven, the usual electric appliances and a dishwasher. A desk with generous lighting and lockable drawers is provided for the corporate client who may need working space.
All three bedrooms are en suite and open up to private balconies. The main bedroom is upstairs and adjoins the living area, while the other two are downstairs and lead out of the main hallway. The bathrooms have heated towel rails and towels are provided. The laundry on the ground floor is equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing facilities and provides storage for bicycles or luggage if needed.
Other features include air-conditioning and a flat screen television with free access to Netflix. Wifi is free and fast. The apartment has an extensive security system and entry control, and off-site parking is provided on request.

Perfect luxurious apartment with outside area, central location
One of the best apartments that we rented during our stay in South-Africa. The apartment has a central location in Stellenbosch, with free parking. With the whole family we enjoyed the 3-bedrooms, all with bathroom ensuite, and the great outside terrace. In a few minutes walking you find some restaurants and a great breakfast place (also on the go).
Communication with the host was perfect: quick responses and lots of advice about what to do in the area. Would definitely go there again!

Stijlvol appartement, centraal gelegen
Tuishuisie is een stijlvol appartement van 2 verdiepingen. De eigenaresse is een stijlvolle, vriendelijke vrouw. Alles is aanwezig in het appartement van houthaard tot wasmachine en droger. Het appartement is zeer centraal gelegen en heeft een eigen veilige priveparkeerplaats. Het is zeer ruim. 3 slaapkamers met elk een eigen badkamer.

Excellent
This apartment is really worth every penny. Aletta - the landlady - and her husband gave us a great welcome and were always there if we needed anything.
It is in the middle of Stellenbosch, everything is in walking distance and one is part of it all - but sitting on the spacious terrace gives you the feeling of being really "above". It is just lovely.
We have booked again for next year!!!!!

Excellent accommodation in the heart of Stellenbosch
I booked this fabulous apartment for eight days in August and it was an ideal place to relax. Aletta and Gerad were very welcoming and went out of their way to provide us with travel tips and information about places of interest. The accommodation is luxurious and the facilities are excellent. I would most definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying there again whenever I travel to South Africa. Many thanks to you both again.

Appalling, avoid it, very unreliable
My fiance and I booked for a few nights with my mom and my mother in law to be as a treat hoping for a relaxing few days while looking at wedding venues in Stellenbosch. We were extremely disappointed when we arrived on Monday 5th September having pre paid our deposit of R4000 from overseas 6 months ago to be told by Alletta she had no idea who we were and turned out they had double booked. Long story short all accommodation in the area was sold out due to an international conference and despite alletta making suggestions for other places they were nearly double the price for 3 rooms for 3 nights which aw could not afford. We ended up spending 3 hours trying to find somewhere to sleep that night driving around in the dark and eventually found something affordable but it was so far out of town and it meant our whole plan for the few days was ruined as we based all the supplier meetings around Stellenbosch. If you want somewhere reliable about this.

Dear Candice and Jason. Thank you for your review. Once again we apologise for this extremely unfortunate event. We understand that it must have caused you severe discomfort and distress. This was completely unintentional and caused us much embarrasment and anxiety as it was entirely my mistake. In all fairness I just have to note that once I have realised what the situation was we returned your deposit within minutes, and although you initially refused our help in searching for alternative accommodation we did spend the same few hours looking for a suitable place in your price range which you chose not to take up. We also offered to pay the difference in costs. But, with that all being said, it should never have happened. Once again our sincere apologies. If you ever are in the area again and feel like staying with us we will give you one night's complimentary accommdation in the hope that it will make it up to you.

Lovely Flat - Perfect location
This spacious and stylish guest apartment is comfortable. It has a convenient location on a lovely block very close to all the historic sites and to shopping and restaurants.

Excellent Location, Lovely Apartment
We were in Stellenbosch to explore wine country and were absolutely thrilled with this location. The balcony was a lovely place to relax and unwind and the apartment was perfectly situated near boutiques and eateries. The bedrooms were comfortable and we felt safe in this space. We highly recommend and plan on returning.

Beautiful apartment! Perfect for bridal party night before the wedding!
I would recommend Tuishuisie groups needing a self-contained, clean, cosy and beautiful apartment. The apartment is well positioned near lots of restaurants and bars. The owner was very helpful, also leaving a book full of information of the area and things to see/do. Apartment has everything you need, en-suites for each room, full kitchen of utensils and lovely balcony looking onto the street. Will definitely recommend and hope to stay again soon!

Perfect for Families
We highly recommend Tuishuisie for groups, families, or even couples. We stayed in Tuishuisie for 4 fabulous nights and enjoyed our stay tremendously. This residence is well appointed, cozy, great in winter or summer, has wonderful rooms and common spaces, and a private outside patio. The beds are perfect for young children to share or for couples, and very comfortable. There is a The home was warm, inviting, comfortable, cozy, and a perfect get-a-way for us. It is also right across the street and next door to several great restaurants.

Getting around
As Tuishuisie is located in the tourist centre of town, everything you may need or be interested in is on your doorstep. You can walk to the grocery store, to have a hearty breakfast at any of the many coffee shops or cafes, you can spend a relaxing afternoon in the botanical garden or go for a hike or mountain bike ride along the Eerste River, and stroll down Church Street to have a sundowner at any of the wine bars. Take your pick for dinner - most cuisines of the world are a minute or two away.
