Chalet 226a, named Shongwe Ingwe, is located within the Kruger Park Lodge, 4 star Golf Resort in the town of Hazyview, Mpumalanga.
This compact self catering chalet has beds for 6 ADULTS and 2 kids under 12 years old, (NOT 4 couples) but is equally comfortable for a small family or two families to share, making it most economical.

UPSTAIRS: Large open plan room with twin beds and bunk bed.The bunk bed is only suitable for youngsters as they cannot take the weight of adults. Bathroom with shower, double basin and toilet. ceiling fans, Tv, a balcony overlooking the wooded garden and is a firm favourite with the youngsters. Ceiling fans, cupboards.
The linen and towels, crockery and cutlery are constantly updated ensuring that our guests feel relaxed and welcome
The daily rate includes all linen, towels, VAT and a daily cleaning service. Free WI fi inside this chalet.
Parking for one car directly outside the chalet.
The Resort has many facilities including a fully equipped self service laundry, restaurant, three swimming pools, tennis courts, outdoor chess, trampolines, mini golf and a wonderful Gary Player Golf course. The resident Impala will keep you feeling calm and relaxed. The Hippo Hide is something so special as one can watch the hippos frolicking in the water and see a large selection of birds. 226a, Shongwe Ingwe is set in magnificent gardens which attracts birds, insects and monkeys. One cannot help feeling tranquil.
This award winning Golf Resort is located close to all tourist attractions. It is a short 10 minute drive to the Phabeni Gate into the famous Kruger Park. It is also in close proximity to the Sabi Sands Private game reserves.
Please note that this is a family resort and should not be regarded as a party destination as the Management of the Kruger Park Lodge enforces a strict no noise/disturbance policy.
One night bookings will only be accepted per request and will be subjected to an additional surcharge of SAR500 or US$30.00 for the night.

Chalet Shongwe Ingwe, 226a, is suitable for 8 guests ie up to 6 ADULTS only and 2 KIDS under the age of 12.. The bunk beds are NOT suitable for adults .
As this is a nature resort, the management of the Kruger Park Lodge have their own rules and one of them is a strict noise policy after 7pm.
A minimum stay of 3 nights is required over any South African Long weekend, public holiday, school holiday or during July & Dec. Special consideration will be given to anyone who needs a shorter stay.
Wonderful time spent at Kruger Park Lodge. Host was super friendly and helpful. Accomodation was pleasant and clean. Thank you for an amazing getaway.

Best Lowveld stay
We stayed in Chalet 208 - a beautiful and well positioned house next to the Sabie River.
The view on the river is breathtaking and one is tempted to relax on the patio all day.
Breena Bick handled our booking with great efficiency from start to finish. We will definitely return.

Great stay
Breena was a great host. Great accommodations and had all we needed. Kids also had a blast. Will definitely be back.

Home from home
Beautiful cottage. Very comfortable. Kitchen well e we stocked with all the necessary utilize. Crisp bed sheets and excellent pillows. Having 3 bathrooms was wonderful with 6 people. We never felt crowded. Breena was so friendly and helpful. Will recommend this cottage

A wonderful stay.
I recently had the privilege to spendca fewv day at Kruger Park Lodge - Chalet no.226.
The chalet is well appointe, neat, clean and tidy. Lighting requirements during loading are catered for. Internet and WiFi are also available.
Our stay was further enhanced by Breena guiding us to various delightful water holes and view points. Her vast knowledge, love and respect for the park is to be admired.
Breena's caring and attention to detail made our stay so much more memorable.
I have no hesitation in recommending a stay at Breena's chalet.

Brilliant stay in Hazyview
We had a brilliant visit and stay at Shongwe Ingwe (Chalet 226a) in the Kruger Park Lodge at Hazyview and all superbly arranged by Breena Bick.
The chalet was very well appointed with ample accommodation with 3 bedroom and bathrooms and very clean and well appointed.
Breena went out of her way to make us feel welcome and give us all the advice we need for a brilliant 4 night stay, made up of 3 nights in Hazyview in Chalet 226a and one night in Satara Camp.
We were in great hands with Breena due to her deep knowledge, love and respect for the local area, the Kruger Park and the amazing nature and wildlife within.
We are very grateful to Breena for helping us to have such a fantastic few days in Hazyview and the Kruger Park.

Wonderful Shongwe Ingwe
My wife and I have had a wonderful 5 days at Kruger Park Lodge. All of the family were there. Our chalet 226a, Shongwe Ingwe was excellent, very clean and tidy, very well equipped, including emergency lighting in the bedrooms. Thank you to Breena Bick who handled all the booking arrangements splendidly. We will definitely visit again

Kruger Park Lodge
We had another really lovely stay at Kruger Park Lodge booked through Breena Bick. She really goes out of her way to accommodate us.
The chalet was super clean and very comfortable with everything we needed to make our stay a happy easy one.
It’s a wonderful place, close to the Kruger Park and very relaxing.

Gem in the bush
The service I received from Breena was amazing, as always. We booked a few chalets for our extended family who were together for the first time in many years. We all gravitated to our gem of chalet 239 every evening for dinner and drinks and fellowship because it was perfectly suited to chilling in the bush. Spacious home with great outside entertainment area looking out onto nature. Very neat and functional with all the amenities and equipment needed to have a great stay. Lighting in the rooms when loadshedding kicks in and also WiFi which was great. Thank you Breena, we loved every moment and we will definitely be back

This town has a vast selection of shops and restaurants, little Inns and hotels.
It caters for tourists and some of the finer attractions are the Quad biking, white river rafting, Elephant interaction, Bird Park etc. There is a tourist information office in the village. Safari tours can be arranged.
Getting around
It is advisable to hire a car from one of the airports.
We are also able to suggest various excellent Safari Tour Operators who can assist with half or full day tours into the Kruger Park should you not want to self drive.
Driving within the Kruger National Park is very easy and user friendly. You may purchase a road map from the entry gate into the Park.

How to get there
Hazyview is a 4 to 4 and half hour drive from Johannesburg International Airport. The road is a dual highway all the way and is easy to use. Several wonderful filling stations with restaurants are available along the route.
The Mpumalanga International Airport is a short 40 minute drive to the Kruger Park Lodge. It is advisable to hire a car from one of the airports.
We are also able to suggest various excellent Safari Tour Operators who can assist with half or full day tours into the Kruger Park should you not want to self drive. The Phabeni Gate into the Kruger National Park is a mere 10 minute drive away.
