We offer an exquisite, self-catering luxury log cabin situated on the banks of the Blyde River within a wildlife area called the Blyde-Olifants Conservancy. The cabin is fully equiped, air-conditioned and has a private deck overlooking the river. We also offer on-site activities such as bush walks, game drives, kids bush school, birding and fishing.

Our Favourite Spot
I have been meaning to write this review for a long time, but finally I have got round to doing it. This is by far my favourite spot in the Hoedspruit area. Having visited multiple times over the years with friends and my girlfriend, it came to feel like a second home. Gay and Willem are the perfect hosts in a perfect setting. Whether you spend the day on the deck listening to the bubbling sounds of the river, or if you go exploring in the surrounding wilderness, your time here will be tranquil and relaxing. Thank you for many wonderful stays and I cannot wait to return again when travel is permitted.

Amazing weekend
Very neat and tidy. A very relaxing experience with the family. Birds singing all around you!!! We had a wonderful experience and would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you very much Willem and Gay😁

Fantastic Hidden Gem in the Bush
We had a fantastic time at Blyde River Cabin, Gay and Willem were brilliant hosts from start to finish and very lovely people with amazing knowledge of the surrounding environment. The Cabin is cosy, spacious and well equipped and has an outside deck area where you can sit around the fire on an evening and listen to the sounds of the river and wildlife. We did a couple of Game Drives on site and were lucky enough to see Hippo and and Crocodiles in the nearby river. The Cabin is located in such a place that you feel totally surrounded by nature, but after a short drive down the dirt road, the lovely town of Hoedspruit is only about 10km away. We recommend Blyde River Cabin very highly and look forward to returning !

un peu excentré, mais très bel endroit
Un chalet reposant, en bord de rivière, très calme ! nous avons apprécié avant de reprendre la route. Cerné par les orangers, le parfum de fleur d'oranger était très présent : très sympa, l'accueil ! En parlant d'accueil, la propriétaire est avenante, sympathique et disponible.. Le chalet est grand, bien équipé. Un détail : les bruits dans la toiture (pas génants, mais inquiétant si on ne sait pas de quoi il s'agit) ne sont pas des rats, mais bien de mignonnes petites chauve-souris qui vous débarrassent des moustiques !! Si vous envisagez le self-catering (faire vos repas vous-même), pensez à vous approvisionner AVANT de venir... Pour l'itinéraire, rechercher d'abord "Jessica the Hippo", puis à partir de là, le chemin est à 50 mètres !

Supurb. Home away from Home in the bush!
We always choose Blyde River Cabin when in Hoedspruit. Close to Kruger National Park. They are situated on a Game Farm with many antelope to see. Lovely views of the river. Ultimate place to relax and unwind. Good Wifi connections but rather take a book and sip sun downers on your deck. Short gravel road. Hope to go again later this year.

AMAZING STAY
We visited this little piece of heaven over the long weekend with our family and we had such a wonderful time. Gay gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel at home right away. We had a two and a half year old with us and he enjoyed the jungle gym and the river thoroughly. We will definitely recommend a visit to this beautiful place.

The guesthouse is located conveniently between Kruger National Park and the world famous Blyde River Canyon. This allows day trips to view the canyon via the Panorama Route or from the Blydepoort dam in the bottom of the canyon as well as day trips to Kruger National Park. The Hoedspruit and surrounding area have many tourist attractions and activities to enjoy. We are also situated within a wildlife reserve so you can enjoy nature and the sounds of the bush rather than city or traffic noise.

Should you wish to self-drive there are car rentals available in Hoedspruit and at Eastgate airport. We can also arrange guided tours for you to all the major attractions should you wish to relax and learn more about the area from an experienced guide.
