About the neighbourhood
If you have ever been to Kalkan you will know how special this town is. About 1.5 hours from Dalaman airport, Kalkan sits nestled around a beautiful bay with its old town home to narrow streets and traditional whitewashed shops and houses with painted balconies looking out to sea or down into the bougainvillea strewn streets.Kalkans pretty harbour is truly charming, with fishing boats and gulets lined up ready for the day – don't miss a gulet trip around the bay to discover some of the hidden coves. Around the harbour are some of the town's most renowned restaurants, plus cafes for a refreshing drink or to try the local specialities.

Kalkan is renowned for its restaurants, and they spread right up through the town so don't forget to explore further. We have a restaurant review...
Getting around
A car isn't necessary at Ayisigi Bahcesi as there are good value taxis, buses and the local mini-buses (Dolmus) available to many of the main attractions, or you can go by foot to some of the local beaches. However, if you want to have more flexibility to get out and explore then car hire here is excellent value and you can choose to hire for the duration of your stay or for just a few days to see some of the sites. The bus station is at the stop of the town, about a 15/20 minute walk from the villa.
