This 2nd floor 2 bedroom apartment in historic Los Balcones is in the heart of the Walled City! The combination studio and 1 bedroom create a perfect 2 bedroom for a maximum capacity of 6 guests at a great value.

This apartment is gorgeous with travertine walls and tile throughout.
A common door leads from the studio to the living room of the one bedroom apartment. This combination 2 bedroom boasts three (yes that's three!) bathrooms and two mini kitchenettes, each featuring a coffee maker, toaster, induction burner and stainless steel skillet, microwave and small refrigerator.

Double french doors lead to a cozy private balcony. Both the balcony and

The location is crazy, smack dap in the middle of all the bars and restaurants. Including hot water btw ( bonus). It was all good just a week ago...... Can't wait to go back

If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing! Loved the condo. Great central location. These guys made themselves available whenever we needed anything. And they gave us good local recommendations. Check in and check out processes were very smooth...More

About the neighbourhood
Located in the vibrant San Diego neighborhood, everything you need or desire is within short walking distance of your apartment. A large supermarket, Exito, is just around the corner from the apartment. The iconic ambassador of Colombian coffee, Juan Valdez, now adds his name to a chain of Juan Valdez Cafes, one of which is located just a block away.
Calle de la Moneda is typically busy and crowded during the day, but very tranquil and peaceful at night, as there are no bars and restaurants lining our street.
Catch a romantic horse drawn carriage to take you back to the apt.
Getting around
The Walled City of Cartagena is simply a delight best experienced on foot. You can explore the entire city this way. My recommendation is to simply wander, get lost (don't worry- you can't!) and then catch a horse drawn carriage or taxi (safe and economical) back to the apartment.
Cartagena is a UNESCO world heritage site filled with beautiful colonial buildings and plazas, cafes, pastry shops, terrific restaurants and bars, museums, the wall itself and the fort.
It is not necessary nor recommended to have a car in the Walled City! Taxis abound and are very economical. Be sure to negotiate.

How to get there
Airport: Rafael Nunez International Airport: 3.0 km
Take taxi to Calle Segunda de Badillo 36-12. (Also known on google maps as Cr.7 #36-12)
The airport is located 3 km north-east of the old city. At the airport you can find several ATMs and an exchange bureau where you can change cash and traveler's checks. To get downtown, go to the taxi stand which will give you a receipt with the exact amount you'll have to pay to the driver, around $10-12,000 depending on your destination (2015 rate). To get into town more cheaply, walk about 50 m (150 ft) to the street and hail one of yellow cabs. You should be able to get a cab to take you into town for about $6,000.
The building is called Los Balcones and there is a store with a prominent name called Tennis on the ground floor. The street is on a regular taxi route.
