About the neighbourhood
Twisting cobblestone lanes and medieval markets, wafting aroma of spicy almonds and melodic peal of church bells. This is the Tallinn's famous Old Town. If you're looking for that mix of historic ambiance and cutting-edge culture, you'll find it here in Tallinn.
Built up from the 13th to 16th centuries, Tallinn – or Reval as it was known then – is city with colourful, gabled houses, half-hidden courtyards and grandiose churches and quite rightly, the city's biggest tourist attraction. And the fact that the Old Town is neatly packaged within a mostly-intact city wall and dotted with guard towers gives it an extra dose of fairytale charm.
Tallinn Old Town is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
How to get there
There are number of trams, trolleys and buses that will bring you to the Old Town's wall. From there you'll have to walk. Fortunately this apartment is situated only 350 meters from both Viru and Vabaduse Väljak public transport stops. If you are traveling by car, you will have to leave it in a Parking place.
