'The old Barn,' a conversion situated in the heart of the beautiful Welsh countryside. Located just under 10 minutes from the historic town of Carmarthen; the oldest town in Wales. With a number of beaches just 15-20 minutes drive and views of rolling countryside this really is a wonderful holiday location. **Fresh eggs can be bought daily from the resident chickens during laying season!** 'The Old Barn' offers all accommodation at ground floor level and has easy access patio doors which caters for those who are less mobile or perhaps those with young children. It also has a bath with a power shower above. There is an annxe flat above the old barn, which consists of a kitchen/living area, double bed and bathroom with shower. This can be booked seperately to sleep 2 additional guests. The Old barn is part of two conversions- The second conversion 'The Stables' is also listed on here. Should you wish to book two properties for a large family break these barns would be the perfect destination with plenty of parking. Both properties are finished to a very high standard and are surrounded by truly breathtaking scenery. Open plan kitchen/lounges with authentic AGA stoves and grey slate floors. Private Patio areas with seating and BBQ's perfect for relaxing evenings, Additionally both have one double bedroom and a second twin bedroom, with freeview flat screen tvs in the living area. Conveniently we have a lovely neighbour who is a taxi driver and some great pubs in the area. We highly recommend the Red Lion in Llandyfaelog, The Butchers Arms in Llanddarog along with Diablos on the Quay and The Falcon hotel in Carmarthen town centre. There is easy access to the M4, with many attractions only a short drive.The country lanes are perfect for bike rides or walks, with many footpaths and bridle paths along the way, perfect for spotting wildlife or picking blackberries in the summer months or collecting holly during the winter! Enjoy the surrounding views where often you will catch racehorses in training on the sand gallops just in front of the property.Beaches, castles, museums, costal parks, gold mines, historic railways, country parks, dry ski slopes, Ffos Las racecourse, golf clubs, nature centres, local markets, theatres, health spas, bars, restaurants, indoor bowling, a cinema and some great shopping are all on offer in the area. The village of Laugharne, made famous by writer Dylan Thomas is only a short drive away with the well know theme park Oakwood and the much loved 'Folly Farm' just under an hours drive. Both barns are available to rent throughout the year, including Christmas and New Year and should both be available upon enquiry you will have a preference. We are more than happy to be flexible with changeover times and days. Bed linen and hand towels are provided but please bring any becah towels. We do welcome small pets (2 dogs maximum per property) but there is an additional £25 cleaning charge. Additional cleaning services are available for longer stays.More
