The homestead looks like a classic Queenslander - a beautiful, elevated house beneath a red iron roof, wrapped in a wide, sweeping verandah which majestically overlooks the Mudgee Valley. Guests are rewarded with the area's most spectacular panoramic views of the distant hills and surrounding vineyards. While the sprawling guesthouse takes its character, its dimensions and its décor from the Federation era, this updated version boasts modern and luxurious amenities throughout. The property is home for hosts of contented kangaroos, a self-contained cottage, picturesque vineyard and an expansive outdoor function area complete with a wood-fired pizza oven. If you can tear yourself away from the verandah, take time to relax in one of the two guest lounges. Enjoy the cosy Fireside Lounge, decorated in a rich Federation-style colour scheme and furnished with overstuffed couches surrounding the open fireplace - perfect for curling up with a good book and a glass of port. Original artwork adorns the walls and the bookshelves are stocked with an eclectic selection of books and games. Downstairs is the cleverly constructed Billiard Room which has been designed in the style of an old Australian shed. Clad in corrugated iron and recycled timber, the room features a billiard table, darts, chess board, big-screen TV and a bar; perfectly suited for watching the big game with a group of friends or demonstrating your skills at a game of snooker. **Please note that the pricing is PER ROOM. **MIDWEEK pricing is for accommodation only (no meals). Breakfast is an additional $30 PER PERSON. **WEEKEND pricing includes a full breakfast daily. Dinner is not included. **Please note that dinner is only served on Saturday evenings and is only available from March-mid November (some exceptions apply). Dinner is an additional $80 PER PERSON and must be booked in advance. **2 Night minimum stay on weekends. **Please also note that we DO NOT cater for children in the guesthouse (except for exclusive use bookings).
