We stayed here towards the end of our trip ... young family with 3 small boys.. The great thing about staying here towards the end of our trip and all tours etc done, we relaxed and did next to bugger all ;) The best place to unwind .. peace and quiet and great surrounds .. The house was perfect size...

Peace and Plenty indeed! From the moment you enter the front door you know this place is special. Magnificent views, a stones throw to the beach, beautiful furnishings and an indoor heated pool. Perfect. Serenity at its best, loved loved loved it.

Dolphin Sands is the longest sand spit in Tasmania consisting mainly of the Nine Mile Beach Coastal Reserve separating the pristine and majestic Great Oyster Bay from Moulting Lagoon with just one point of connection at the far northern end. Here the Swan River makes the road a dead end, ensuring the area remains totally peaceful.

However, a relatively short detour makes the area the gateway to the magnificent Freycinet Peninsula and national park, with its limitless bushwalks, fascinating range of wildlife and spectacular destinations such as Wineglass Bay. Boating, swimming and fishing are popular in the area, while boating excursions offer the chance to explore the area from the water. While the main attractions are the sensational views and outdoor activities, Swansea is just minutes...

For travellling from inter-state within Australia, fly to Launceston or Hobart, pick up a hire car and drive to Dolphin Sands. The car journey takes about 1.5 hours from either airport.

For travelling from overseas, jet into either Sydney or Melbourne and then fly to either Hobart or Launceston. For convenience, book a hire car when you book your flight as sometime there may be a shortage of vehicles for hire if there is a major event.
