About the neighbourhood
Over 60 vineyards/cellar doors and an abundance of cafes and restaurants, make the Hunter Valley a great place for a weekend getaway, or even longer.... in the summer you can get away from city life, visit vineyards and eateries and cool off in your private pool. In the winter you can enjoy the sunny days and rug up in front of the indoor or outdoor fireplace with a glass of red... Turn left and then immediately right again into Allandale Road. The sign says BRANXTON, SINGLETON. Follow this road (it becomes Wine Country Drive) for 8km and you will see the Visitor Information Centre on your left. If it is open this is a good place to stop and collect information. There is also a coffee shop and public toilets. Or stay on Wine Country Drive for another 6 km, past Broke Rd, then past Palmers Lane, then McDonalds Rd. Drive over the long bridge at Black Creek and the next...
