A lovely apartment on a hill with great views of part of the Bay. It is a 10 minute walk into Paihia town centre but a steepish walk on the return. The unit itself, under the owners house, is very comfortable, modern décor and with all necessary facilities and more. A most enjoyable stay with the bonus of helpful ideas...

We were made extremely welcome by Janet and Jim. The apartment being very clean, comfortable and well appointed. As the name suggests the property is set high on the hill affording views front and back. You can walk into Paihia but for the less fit you will need a car. What I liked was the kitchen supplied with basic necessities...

Exactly as advertised.The views of the bay are beautiful. Contemporary, high end furnishings and fixtures, and spotlessly clean. Great location for Bay of Islands and points further.Jim and Janet are super friendly and have lots of good advice on things to do and see. loved sitting out on the patio for morning coffee and evening wine.

We are on a peninsular that protrudes out into 'The-Bay', Panorama Avenue is on the ridge line of a peninsular that protrudes out into 'The-Bay' offering commanding views down to Opua inlet and the channel.
Ample parking on site and only 400 meters from all the major cruise operators.

Ferry: Opua to Russell: 6.4 km
From Auckland follow directions north on STATE HIGHWAY 1, SIGNPOSTED TO WHANGAREI. STATE HIGHWAY 1. (MOTORWAY)
Approx 1hour 40minutes hours drive you will find 'Honey Center' on your LEFT HAND SIDE, great freshly made food and ideal for a comfort break.
At KAWAKAWA Follow the main tourist signs to 'Bay-of-Islands'.
At the one way bridge please be aware to stop for oncoming traffic, they have right of way. After 13 killometers on approaching Paihia you will cross Tehami Flats with the sea on your right,

Follow the road up the hill and directly on the brow of the hill turn sharp right into Binnie Street.

100mtrs fork left and Swallows Nest is 20 mtrs on your left'
