Our temporary home was perfectly adequate for our needs, especially since we had plenty of grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Oddly enough, getting ice was a sticking point, so we went next door to the Burger King, where they were happy to let us fill our glasses. The apartment has a small bedroom, a small bath with shower, a kitchenette, and a living and dining area.. Everything is very clean. But without central air conditioning and heat, the temperature in the flat is dependent on one window and a large oscillating fan. The landlord has cable TV and WiFi in the living area, and a few guidebooks left by other guests are scattered around.. The real draw to this place is location. You’re in the heart of the CBD which is just as active at night as in the day. Great restaurants and bars are within a few blocks of the apartment. I’d stay here again.

I do not usually write lengthy reviews but since it appears this will be the first for Artemide, here goes! We spent a week here using it as our base to explore Auckland and the surrounding areas. It is all about location for this apartment. It is right downtown close to bus, train, and ferry terminals. Restaurants, shops, and grocery stores are all within five-minute walks. The airport shuttle and train shuttle stop with two blocks.

Our son and his fiancé stayed with us for several days on the pullout couch. It was a bit crowded with only one bathroom, (you have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom) but otherwise fine. Only ONE key is provided which can complicate comings and goings.

The apartment itself is as advertised; the photos are accurate, however....it completely lacks any style...12-foot-high bare walls; plastic B&W furniture , etc. The bedroom is very small, just slightly larger than the queen bed. The kitchen is functional but has few...

If you're taking the SkyBus from the city to the airport, you have to go to SkyBus (STOP 7018) at Customs St East, Auckland 1010 (opposite Fort Lane) which is about a 3min walk from where we are.

SkyBus tickets can be purchased online, at their ticket kiosks at the airport terminals, in the SkyBus City Shops or through their drivers directly.
