The Yellow House, a rustic hideaway with many quirky features that reflect the original use of the building as a stable, offers private and cosy accommodation for couples or individuals searching for something different. The gîte has a light and happy feel and is brightly decorated with solid natural pine floors and exposed stone and woodwork in all rooms.
Downstairs there is a character kitchen area with modern appliances, an open plan living/dining area with comfortable seating (The sofa converts into a bed for an optional 3rd person). On the 1st floor there is a double bedroom with a 160cm bed and feature balustrade constructed from the original wooden manger. Surrounded by vineyards, St. Laurent de la Salanque is situated 15 minutes’ drive from Perpignan (the home of French Rugby). The village has a large traditional Catalan market twice a week and is linked to several Mediterranean beaches and neighbouring villages by a network of cycle paths. The village has an abundance of artisan bakers, wine merchants, supermarkets, restaurants and bars.
Spain, Andorra and many wine producing valleys are within easy reach by car, while the regional mountains, rivers, lakes and coastline play host to a full range of outdoor activities.
The villages and surrounding areas, hold local festivals throughout the year celebrating the area’s rich history, unique culture and mouth-watering cuisine and superb wines
