Norham, Northumberland, England
The Boathouse Cottage, a standalone house tucked into a sheltered spot overlooking the River Tweed, makes a peaceful base for couples or families. Walk straight onto footpaths going up or down river or cross country. Many opportunities to view wildlife including otters. Norham is a great village with pubs and shops, ten to fifteen minutes walk away.
Northumberland and Scottish Border coasts, beaches and cliff-top walks are all within easy reach. For hill walkers the choice is amazing and includes the Cheviot National Park. Bird and wildlife lovers are spoilt for choice with Farne Islands, St Abb's Head and much more. And, of course, there are plenty of visitor attractions in the area for the whole family.
