There is a large natural fenced garden with the ruins of a bygone age. Go through the front gate to walk down the single track road to the lighthouse, or take the track to the beach and coastal path. Go through the back gate and climb to the 'top of the world' with magnificent views to Cape Wrath, the Outer Hebrides, Skye and the unique mountains of the west coast of Scotland, then choose your way back.

We had a good week in this very comfortable and extremely well equipped house. (Even the weather was good - we had sun for most of four days during the week!) The niggles were not enough bath towels left for us and the salad drawers of both fridges were dirty and mouldy when we arrived. A floor plan of the...

Our second stay at Dwelling of Dreams. We've been coming to Assynt for many years and discovering this house has raised our holiday experience to another level. The perfect base for a holiday in all weathers and seasons. Extremely comfortable and well equipped with wonderful views across the North Minch to Lewis.

We have stayed as a family in this well equipped, spacious modern house with sea view for one week. Parents & kids happy = perfect location & great holiday!

Depending on where you';re coming from, the most common methods to get there are either to drive to the property or fly to Inverness and hire a vehicle.There is a good train service to Inverness via Edinburgh from the rest of the main British rail routes. There is also a train service from Inverness to Lairg which is closer to Lochinver than Inverness. There is a bus service from Inverness to Ullapool and Lochinver and from Lairg to Lochinver. There is a taxi service in Lochinver which could get you out to the Stoer peninsular. Please contact owners for further details.
