Although off the beaten track there was loads to see and do with walks recommended for the dog and his own welcome pack. Everything was designed with practicality and comfort in mind; only had to think "where is that" and it would come to hand....More

Getting around
A car is essential for travelling around this area but the roads are so quiet and traffic free that it actually makes driving a real pleasure. If you stay off the main roads you can find some wonderful places to stop for lunch, beautiful villages and as the Mayenne department has the highest number of privately owned Chateaux some magnificent buildings tucked in the most unlikely places!

Travelling from Caen is a much shorter journey once arriving in France so you can make time to explore the Normandy beaches and WW2 museums or explore the UNESCO designated town of Bayeux and visit the world renown tapestry.
