The Old Stables has been refurbished to a very high standard and offers a home away from home for couples, families and friends alike who are looking to enjoy the best of Northumberland. Accomodation is on the first floor and consists of two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and one with twin beds, an incredibly spacious open-plan lounge, diner and kitchen and a family bathroom with separate shower cubicle. Wi-fi is included. The lounge area has a flatscreen TV and DVD player and will comfortably seat four people. Externally, the private courtyard between The Old Stables and the owner's main house provides ample secure parking. PLEASE NOTE: The Old Stables will allow well behaved pets by prior arrangement, on the understanding that they stay out of the carpeted areas, bedrooms and off furnishings. Please enquire at the time of booking. We require a damage deposit of £100 - this will be returned to you on satisfactory inspection of the property after your departure. A travel cot and high chair are available for use on request. The lounge includes a sofa bed which can accommodate an extra guest on request. The location lends itself to both weekend breaks and longer stays with many attractions located nearby. The owners are equally flexible for longer stays such as between house moves. Wylam is a lovely Northumberland village and provides a gateway to the North East, a great base for lots of day trips from castles, coastline, city and even the Lake District. . Its also a great stop off on the way to Scotland
Getting around
We have a bike track almost to the door that connects to popular bike routes as well as good bus routes on the door stop. Wylam station is a short walk and connects to countryside villages and the city centre.
